Brass 11, Woodwinds 3

Day 1, and the score is Brass over Woodwinds, 11-3.  Hmmmmm. Is this going to be a pattern?

Ha. Put a marching french horn in their hands and we can be an all brass marching community band like Ohio State. We’ll be loud anyway. I’m sure Bryan wouldn’t mind toting that big ole contra around.

  • Jim Cosgrove:

Ouch – okay people, looks like Brian threw out the first pitch… Your turn now.

  • Jim Cosgrove:

Scoring question: since Blake Owen plays everything well, does that count one for each section of the band, or does he get to pick?

  • Rachel Maxwell:

I think that Blake should get a point for every instrument he can play! I was in band with Blake and only knew him to play the baritone. I’m very impressed with his new choices of instruments!! So yeah, he gets tons of points for the woodwind section!

  • Tom Mason:

If Blake is scoring for the woodwinds, then I believe I should be able to score for the brass. A demonstration can be arranged.

  • Jim Cosgrove:

Am I going to have to separate you boys?
